FIAT 500X Pop gets sports kitMarch 19, 2020
The new package mimics the exterior changes in the form of a more expensive sports trim.
Due to the continued decline in sales in the market and the discontinuation of the most popular “brand nameplate” of the brand in North America – the Fiat 500, the Italian car brand seeks to add more piquancy and excitement to its current lineup. Last year, FIAT introduced a new trim level for the 500X compact crossover with the new Sport model. For the 500X Sport, originally launched in Europe and then in the North American market, FIAT offers a package for entry-level Pop models, mixing Sport’s “talent” with more affordable modifications.
To create a “young, sporty appearance,” the 500X Sport received a new Rovente Red body color, dark moldings and cladding, and also applied new exterior elements such as fog lights and double chrome tailpipes. The model is not yet available in the configurator, but it is known that the basic version of Pop with the Sport Appearance Package is several tens of thousands cheaper than the Sport model.
The package includes the Sport front and rear panels, halogen headlights, front fog lamps with darker bodies, wheel arch and side sill moldings, 18-inch aluminum sports wheels, dark gray accents and “double bright tailpipes”. The standard Pop comes with 17-inch wheels, while the standard sports trim offers 18-inch wheels with Michelin tires in addition to the 18-inch wheels.
The main parameters of Pop do not change, which means that it does not offer a black roof and a modified interior, as in the Sport version. Buyers can order the fashionable Pop in four colors: Bianco White, Grigio Moda, Italia Blue and the aforementioned Rovente Red. The Sport Appearance Package will cost $ 795
