Ferrari will present a new super hybrid this month
May 11, 2019The fact that Ferrari is preparing a large-scale premiere, the head of the company Louis Camilleri mentioned during the event dedicated to the financial report of the brand for the first quarter. Among the data on the revenue, income and expenses of the company, some (so far, however, very meager) data on the future novelty were made public.
Camilleri called the announced supercar “really beautiful”, “first-class hybrid” and generally did not skimp on compliments. Judging by some reports, the novelty will take a position in the model lineup of the brand at about the same position as the family of 488, but the head of Ferrari has already announced that the future supercar will not replace it.
Meanwhile, the company is testing a novelty in bodies that very much resemble the Ferrari 488 body. However, it is possible that the so-called “mules” are depicted on spy photos, that is, the body of familiar outlines serves as a prototype for the prototype. It is also known that the aggregate return of the power plant of the future novelty may exceed those 720 hp, which develops the eight-cylinder Ferrari 488 Pista engine, and the human-machine interface that the novelty receives will differ noticeably from the technologies traditionally used in Maranello.
