Ferrari hybrid sports car with a V6 engine will appear in 2-3 monthsMarch 6, 2019
According to official data, in a couple of months a new hybrid model of Ferrari will be presented.
At the end of last month, the Italian company Ferrari announced plans to launch five models in 2019. One of them is the receiver of the “charged” 488 GTB – it turned out to be the F8 Tributo. The company with the logo of a galloping horse did not go into details about the remaining updates at that time, but now we know which model will be presented next.
A high-ranking official Ferrari told Auto Express that the next sports car will be electrified – under its hood will be a hybrid powerplant V6.
It goes without saying that Ferrari does not yet want to disclose the details of its new model, but says that it will appear in two or three months. Company executives said that the as yet unnamed model will create a new segment and a new position in the current Ferrari model range, adding that “the V6 hybrid helps us to offer a different approach to creating high power (without environmental pollution).”
Auto Express believes that the car in question is unlikely to be cheaper than many of the company’s cars, it is possible that the new product will become more expensive even for the F8 Tributo, despite the less powerful engine. The latter will offer a turbocharged 3.9-liter V8 with a capacity of 720 hp. and 770 Nm of torque.
As for the remaining three models planned for 2019, it is likely that one of them will be the F8 Spider, as well as updated versions of the GTC4Lusso and its analogue GTC4Lusso T. for the year 2022.
