The company Ferrari launched a new line of Icona, within which a limited edition will be produced exclusive cars for collectors. The first representatives of the series were spidsters called Monza SP1 (single) and SP2 (double), which received the most powerful engine in the history of the Italian brand.

The novelties are designed to recall the original Ferrari racing cocktails, including 166 MM of 1948 and 750 Monza of the 1950s. Speedster, which received body panels from composite materials, built on the basis of the supercar 812 Superfast.

Ferrari Monza SP1 and SP2 equipped with a modernized 6.5-liter unit V12, the return of which increased from 800 to 820 horsepower. This is the most powerful traditional power unit that was installed on road cars from Maranello (with the exception of LaFerrari hybrid plant).

Speedster can accelerate from place to 100 km/h in 2.9 seconds, and acceleration to 200 km / h takes 7.9 seconds. The maximum speed of supercars exceeds 300 km per hour. The company noted that the lack of a windshield will give the driver a feeling similar to the piloting of a Formula 1 car.

Ferrari Monza SP1 and SP2 debut in October at the Paris Motor Show. They will be released in a limited edition, which, according to preliminary data, will not exceed 500 cars. It is assumed that the cost of each speedster will be about $ 3 million.
