Ferrari gave Kimi Raikkonen a Formula 1 car
May 30, 2020Finnish world champion presented with 2018 Ferrari SF71H racing
Scuderia Ferrari gave Kimi Raikkonen a Formula 1 car, in which the Finnish pilot won the 2018 US Grand Prix. This victory remains the last in the career of the 2007 world champion. Raikkonen reported on a luxurious gift from the Italian team on his Instagram.
For the 40-year-old Kimi Raikkonen, the 2018 season was the last in the Scuderia Ferrari, and at the SF71H, the Finnish pilot won pole position at the Italian Grand Prix, won an unexpected victory in the US race in Austin and climbed the podium 11 times. Raikkonen is now in favor of Alfa Romeo, so it is likely that the success of driving a Ferrari SF71H will be the final in his career.
There are few details about the luxury gift: Raikkonen posted two photos: on one car is in a container in the courtyard of his house in Switzerland, on the other – a racing Ferrari stands in a row of cross-country motorcycles in the garage. Kimi was brief: in the story, he noted Scuderia Ferrari and thanked the team.
Kimi Raikkonen remains the last pilot to win the championship title behind the wheel of a Ferrari – the Finn became the strongest in the 2007 championship. Since then, neither Felipe Massa, nor Fernando Alonso, nor Sebastian Vettel, nor Kimi himself managed to return the title to Maranello.
