Ferrari first sold over 10,000 cars a yearFebruary 4, 2020
According to official figures, the Italian company’s net revenue last year was more than EUR 3.7 billion. At the end of 2019, just over 10,000 Ferrari sports cars were sold.
Ferrari published financial results for 2019 – the automaker of sports cars managed to sell 10,131 cars, which is 9.5% more than the result that was achieved in 2018. This was the first year in the history of the legendary brand when it produced and shipped more than 10,000 cars to its dealers. The company’s net profit amounted to EUR 3,766 billion, which is 10.1% more compared to the same period last year.
Europe, the Middle East and Africa were the largest regions for Ferrari in terms of sales: 4,895 deliveries – 16 percent more than in 2018. The company shipped 2,900 vehicles to America – 3% more, 836 cars to mainland China, Hong Kong and Taiwan, which is 20% more. Finally, 1,500 cars went to the rest of the Asia-Pacific region, an increase of 13 percent.
Ferrari increased sales of its cars with a V8 engine by 11.2%. Models with V12 engines had a 4.6% increase in demand.
Ferrari earned 2.926 billion euros in 2019 from car sales. Nevertheless, the second largest revenue sector of the company was from sponsorship and branding – in this area managed to earn 538 million euros.
Last year, Ferrari introduced five new models (in the photo one of the new products – Ferrari Roma). According to the brand management plan, this year it is planned to reduce the number of new products. So far, we do not know which models will be presented to us. Purosangue, the brand’s upcoming crossover, joins the automaker’s lineup in 2021, and the company has high hopes for its success. Well, after 2022 there will be a new Ferrari hypercar.
