Ferrari earns from each car sold 69 thousand eurosAugust 8, 2018
In the first half of this year, Ferrari became the most profitable brand. The company earns 69 thousand euros from each car sold. For comparison, this figure for the group Jaguar Land Rover is 800 euros. This is stated in the study of the German professor Ferdinand Dudenheffer.
The document also states that Porsche is the most profitable of German premium brands: with each car sold, the company receives about 17 thousand euros, and Audi, BMW and Mercedes-Benz – about nine thousand. The profit of Maserati is five thousand euros.
There are also car manufacturers among those who bear losses. So, every sold Bentley costs the company in 17 thousand euros, which is explained by significant investments in the development of electric power plants and technologies. Tesla at the same time with each sold car loses 11 thousand euros.
Last year, a similar study conducted by Bloomberg and got similar results: Ferrari and Porsche also became leaders in operating profit.
