Ferrari 550 Maranello gets a Shooting Brake bodyJanuary 26, 2021
The car is created in honor of the Ferrari 250 GT SWB Breadvan model.
Niels van Roij Design announced the redesigned Ferrari 550 Maranello sports car back in 2019. A car styled after the very rare Ferrari 250 GT SWB Breadvan has finally seen the light of day. It is reported that the body of the “bread van” is made by hand, thanks to which all the elements fit tightly to each other, and their shape refers us to that classic model.
To further enhance the similarities between the models, the new product has received custom-made headlights. It is also reported that the windshield and exhaust system are taken from the original car, the rear windows have been replaced with plastic ones, and the rear of the body is made of a single sheet of aluminum.
In addition to all of the above, the car received a completely redesigned interior. The Ferrari 550 Maranello features retro dials, metal gear lever and shroud, and quilted leather and Alcantara seats. A 5.5-liter V12 with 478 hp remains under the hood of the sports car. and 568 Nm of torque. The cost of the car was not disclosed.
