The Chinese auto giant FAW has supplied its premium SUV Hongqi HS7 with the most relevant to date modification – the electric one. The manufacturer still keeps the technical characteristics of the novelty secret and, most likely, reveals them closer to the official presentation. They promise to organize it in September 2019. The first commercial copies of Hongqi E-HS7 electric will be on the market by the end of this year. Recall the luxurious Hongqi HS7 shares the platform with the previous generation Toyota Crown.

The SUV is driven by a three-liter V6 engine with a power of 338 hp from Toyota, combined with an eight-speed automatic transmission from Aisin. Four-wheel drive appears already in the basic version. The cost of such an SUV starts with a mark of 270,000 yuan. How many residents of the China will cost an electric car is not reported.
