Extreme Aston Martin DBS Superleggera has got the historical special version DBS 59, dedicated to the brand’s victory in the “24 Hours of Le Mans” of 1959. Branch Q by Aston Martin collected the first copy of the supercar, and all of them will be 24.
Order for the construction of a series of unique cars received from the British dealer Aston Martin Cambridge. Each supercar symbolizes the hour of the historic race, which ended for Aston Martin in the first two places. The DBR1 was controlled by Roy Salvadori and Carroll Shelby, the second car was Maurice Trintignan and Paul Frere.
As a primary color DBS 59 selected shade of green Aston Martin Racing Green. It is combined with carbon fiber décor with a glossy finish and bronze accents in the form of a grille edging, Superleggera inscriptions and brake calipers. The chassis number of the original racing DBR1 is marked on the edge of the rear spoiler. In the salon there are seats with upholstery imitating the finishing of Leman cars, bronze paddle shifters and an emblem of a special version embroidered on the seats.
The image of the DBR1 on the sun visor is reminiscent of the race, along with the exact date of the race and the number of laps completed. Each supercar comes with a replica of Carroll Shelby’s helmet and gloves. They are stored in a special compartment behind the seats.
Under the hood, the Aston Martin DBS 59 is fitted with a turbocharged 5.2-liter V12 engine rated at 725 horsepower and 900 Nm of torque. Box – eight-speed automatic gearbox ZF. From the spot up to 60 miles per hour (97 kilometers per hour) the supercar accelerates in 3.4 seconds. The maximum speed is 342 kilometers per hour.
