A crossover designed for the Chinese market, the Korean brand brought to the auto show in Guangzhou.

Visitors to the motor show in Guangzhou will be able to see the new generation Hyundai Santa Fe, created specifically for the Chinese market. Externally, this SUV is different from the global model, which is already represented in all major car markets, including the Russian one. Recall, the fourth generation Hyundai Santa Fe debuted back in February of this year.

The crossover for China, in addition to the modified exterior, gets increased dimensions. The Chinese Santa Fe became 160 mm longer (4,930 mm), and its wheelbase grew immediately by ten centimeters (2,865 mm).

The extended Santa Fe, presented in Guangzhou, acquired a new glazing line, redesigned rear lights and a modified luggage door. But the manufacturer did not reshape the front of the crossover. Inside the car is a new steering wheel truncated shape, another innovation – the buttons, which replaced the classic lever gearbox.

In terms of optional equipment, the Chinese Santa Fe equipped with fingerprint scanners, thanks to which the car owner can open the door and start the engine. The manufacturer did not disclose their exact location: it is known that one of them is outside, and the other is inside the car. The list of other options and assistants coincides with the global model.

As a power unit, Chinese motorists will be offered a 245-horsepower two-liter turbo engine, combined with an eight-speed “automatic”. Drive to choose from – full or front. The cost of new items is kept secret.

Meanwhile, the Skoda Kodiaq GT coupe-shaped cross went on sale immediately after the official premiere in Guangzhou.
