The premiere of the new series will take place on December 18

On the Youtube channel of the British television show The Grand Tour, they published the announcement of a new special issue called A Massive Hunt. In the upcoming episode, celebrity hosts will travel to Madagascar to search for hidden treasures using locally modified vehicles.

In the new special, Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May travel to the exotic island of Madagascar to find hidden pirate treasures. The former Top Gear presenter will face challenges that the show’s producers have re-imagined for them. In particular, impenetrable jungle, flooded roads, as well as a huge unfinished bridge and a mined beach will stand in the way of the British.

Judging by the trailer, the friends will have to fight in drag in a Bentley Continental GT, a Caterham car and a Ford Focus RS. To overcome the impassable sections of Madagascar, the British will have to replace the wheels of cars with tracks and go in search of pirate treasures, where they will face extreme trials.

A new episode of The Grand Tour will air on Amazon’s Prime Video on December 18. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the release will be the first in 2020. The last time the authors of the show went on a boat trip to the Mekong Delta, which flows between Vietnam and Cambodia, back in December last year.

In May last year, the shooting of one of the episodes of the fourth season of The Grand Tour had to be canceled due to terrorist threats. According to Jeremy Clarkson, in this episode, the presenters were supposed to make a car trip from Saudi Arabia to Egypt, but these plans were abandoned due to “sudden and violent terrorist attacks” in the region.
