The Aurelia model was sold from 1950 to 1958, the tarantas.news portal says, in total about 20 thousand of these cars were sold. Auto received a longitudinally located power unit located in front. Note that the gearbox was combined with the main pair of drum brakes. With this solution, it was possible to reduce unsprung masses.

For all the time the production was released six variations of the car, each of which introduced new improvements, as well as some design elements.

In 1953, the Vignale studio received 11 chassis of the B52 type, on which the Aurelia model with a 2.0-liter V6 with a return of 82 hp was built. In January 1953, the studio specialists presented a special convertible, built in a single copy, which was subsequently shown to the world at the Brussels exhibition.

The car received a folding roof; intricate stampings appeared at the door. The bumpers were simplified a little, and the feed became more flattened, which allowed the Aurelia B52 Vignale Spider to add a touch of style.

The interior of the car has also been changed. Inside, a new instrument cluster with three dials appeared, and the upper part of the panel is upholstered with soft material.

For a long time, the Aurelia B52 Vignale Spider was located in Belgium, after which, in 2007, the car was bought by a collector and in 2012 transferred for restoration. Specialists from Carrozzeria Quality Cars from Vignola spent hundreds of hours finding the right parts for a convertible. According to experts, the restoration work took about 2,450 hours. After all the work, the Aurelia B52 Vignale Spider acquired all the certificates of authenticity that prove the originality of the machine.

In 2016, the car was presented at the Villa d’Este Elegance Competition, where it won second place in the Golden Age of Sports Car Design nomination. At the moment, the model is sold by Girardo & Co. The price tag of the convertible was not disclosed, but the car has a high historical value for fans of the Lancia brand.
