RM Sotheby’s auctioned off a non-standard 2004 Ford GT supercar.
The car, bearing body number 02, is the second of the first nine production GTs of the first generation, intended for sale to Ford employees and their families. For 16 years since its release, the supercar has covered only 402 km.
This car was bought by a member of the board of directors of the American corporation Michael Dingman at a charity auction in August 2003. In 2004, the car was delivered to the owner.
Behind the seats is a 550-horsepower (680 Nm) V8 engine with a volume of 5.4 liters, in conjunction with which a 6-speed manual transmission works. The complete set has stripes on a black body, McIntosh acoustics, BBS alloy wheels.
During its life, the supercar has changed three owners. It is known that in 2012 this car was already sold for $ 242,000. At the moment, the auction house plans to bail out for it from $ 500,000 to $ 600,000. The auction will take place on November 19 this year. In total, 4038 units were produced from 2004 to 2006.
