Exclusive 2001 Chevy Camaro Z57 for sale with 1957 Camaro bodyApril 8, 2021
An exclusive 2001 Chevy Camaro Z57 version is on sale at auction. Among other changes, the car received a body from a 1957 Camaro.
A 2001 Chevy Camaro Z57 American sports car with a vintage look is on sale at the auction. This is a fourth-generation Camaro from the penultimate year of production with a conversion kit that makes it look almost the same as the 1957 version of the iconic Chevy sports car. And it’s up for sale.
Gateway Classics made this car. The car received an interesting black body paint combined with blue flames.
The body kit, inspired by the original ’57 Chevy, is not a direct replica of a 1950s car, but many of the design elements were taken from that vintage car.
Under the hood is a V8 LS engine that has traveled just over 268,760.45 km at the time of sale. It is important to note that the engine was recently refurbished and has traveled only 4,828.03 km after the refurbishment. The 5.7-liter unit with just over 300 horsepower is mated to a four-speed automatic transmission.
The vintage look may be confusing to many onlookers – however, this car is still a 2001 Camaro and properly equipped. It is equipped with modern features such as air conditioning, power steering, electric seats and windows, leather seats, factory aluminum rims and more. The seller demands $ 32,000 for a retro-styled sports car.
Not so long ago, AutoTimesNews wrote that General Motors stopped production of the Chevrolet Camaro due to a lack of chips. The American automaker had to temporarily scale back work at its Michigan plant. The forced stay will last until the end of March.
