European Nissan X-Trail simplified range of enginesApril 12, 2019
Nissan has updated the motor range of the European X-Trail. Now the crossover is offered with a simplified set of gasoline “turbo” and diesel, meeting the standard Euro 6d-TEMP.
Instead of the 1.6 DIG-T turbo engine, the Nissan X-Trail will be powered by a 1.3 DIG-T engine developed by the Renault-Nissan alliance with Daimler. Power – 160 horsepower and 270 Nm of torque (the previous unit had 163 power and 240 Nm). The box is also new: a six-step “robot” with two clutches instead of a variator from its predecessor. Petrol X-Trail for Europe can only be front wheel drive.
A pair of 1.6 and 2.0 diesel engines replaced by one engine – a 150-strong unit with a volume of 1.7 liters. He works in pair only with six-step manual transmission. Diesel crossovers can have both front-wheel drive and four-wheel drive.
The range of engines of the Russian Nissan X-Trail will remain unchanged. It consists of three units: a 130-strong 1.6-liter diesel engine, as well as 2.0 and 2.5 gasoline engines (144 and 171 forces, respectively). Gasoline engines are paired with a six-speed manual gearbox or a CVT Xtronic. Diesel is combined only with the manual transmission .
