British rock musician ready to part ways with 2007 Berlinetta
Legendary rock guitarist and composer Eric Clapton has put up a Ferrari 599 GTB for sale. For a 13-year-old two-door with 38 thousand kilometers of mileage, the musician wants to help out 89,900 pounds sterling. The car is sold by the London showroom GVE.
Eric Clapton is known as a Ferrari collector – in the garage of the 75-year-old blues-rocker there are more than ten models of the Italian brand, including the classic “Gran Turismo” of the 1960s. However, the musician decided to say goodbye to the Ferrari 599 GTB, and the fans got a chance to buy a car with a history.
The 2007 Berlinetta has been regularly maintained and is in excellent condition. The body and 20-inch wheels are finished in Nero Daytona Black metallic, and the interior is finished in Castoror Light Brown leather. Clapton’s Ferrari touches include carbon-ceramic brakes with yellow calipers, BOSE HiFi audio system, electrically adjustable seats and an electrochromatic interior mirror.
Under the hood is a 5999 cc V12 with 620 horsepower and 608 Nm of torque. Transmission – 6-speed robotized Ferrari F1, drive – to the rear axle.
The Ferrari 599 GTB is Eric Clapton’s second supercar put up for sale in recent months. The musician recently sold a Lamborghini Gallardo Superleggera for 125 thousand pounds, and three and a half years ago got rid of the Ferrari F40, having rescued more than 900 thousand pounds for a mid-engined two-door 1991 release.
