Engler F.F Superquad: Slovaks built a high-speed quad bike with a Lamborghini V10 engineMarch 13, 2019
Engler Automotive has presented at the Geneva Motor Show a machine ready for production, which became the most extreme exhibit in Switzerland this year.
The start-up of Engler Automotive from Slovakia, founded by businessman and enthusiast Victor Engel, presented in Geneva its first creation – nothing like the super-quad bike Engler F. F. Superquad.
Superquad is designed for the driver and one passenger. The basis of this device is the Audi R8 chassis – from the German supercar it also got a 5.2-liter V10 engine (the same is used by Lamborghini). However, the stock motor did not satisfy the Slovaks and they strengthened it with a pair of superchargers, bringing performance to the crazy 800 hp
The chassis is covered with an original carbon-fiber body mounted on an aluminum frame. Superquad has a length of 4670 mm, a wheelbase of 2650 mm and weighs only 800 kg. Transmission is a seven-speed “robot” driven on all wheels. Power to mass ratio – to each other. This allows F. F. Superquad to gain the first hundred on the speedometer in 2.5 seconds and accelerate to a maximum of 350 km / h. This will make it possible not just for every headlight, since the quad is deprived of any protection from air currents, not to mention the sports buckets and safety belts that normally hold drivers in place at high speed corners.
Victor Engler did not mention the cost of his offspring, as well as the start of small-scale production, but hopes to find customers for his super-ATV and start the production of F. F. Superquad more quickly.
