Elon Musk spoke about the super-powerful Tesla supercomputerAugust 18, 2020
Elon Musk is engaged in the creation of advanced electric cars, ships for interplanetary travel, satellite Internet, brain implants and even tunnels for fast travel around cities. This list is supplemented by the Dojo supercomputer, which the American billionaire recently spoke about.
The first information about the Dojo supercomputer appeared last year, but it was not completely clear for what purpose it would be used. The answer to this question came directly from Elon Musk, who wrote on Twitter that the device will find application in Tesla for processing huge amounts of video data. The billionaire calls him a real “beast” and encourages specialists in artificial intelligence, computers and processors to join his team.
In addition, Musk hinted that the Dojo supercomputer will be more than 1 exaflops, allowing it to perform more than a quintillion of operations per second. All this power will be directed to the analysis of huge amounts of video data, which is expected to allow Tesla to create a car with the fifth level of autonomous driving in the near future. This will allow him to move completely without human intervention.
