Elon Musk showed a new image of an electric pickupMarch 18, 2019
Elon Musk posted on his Twitter a new teaser image of the Tesla electric pickup. The premiere of the car will take place before the end of this year. Most likely, the image shows the cargo part of the future electric vehicle.
The novelty will be a large pickup with a double cabin and seating for six people. The car will receive a futuristic design in the style of cyberpunk. Already in the standard, the car will have two electric engines with “crazy torque” and four-wheel drive. The car will be able to drive about 650–800 kilometers without recharging the batteries.
In addition, the base car will receive an adaptive air suspension, which will automatically apply the optimal settings “depending on the specific load.” Finally, the pickup will be available with Autopilot’s proprietary semi-autonomous control system, fully automatic parallel parking function, as well as all-round viewing system.
In March, Tesla introduced its new compact electric crossover called Model. Car prices start from 39,000 dollars. The crossover borrowed the existing chassis from the Tesla Model 3. The Model Y received two electric motors and will be offered with battery packs of various capacities.
Tesla Motors, focused on the production of electric vehicles, was founded in 2003. Since 2008, it has been supplying the Tesla Roadster sports car to the market. In 2012, the company introduced the Model S sedan. The headquarters of the manufacturer is located in Palo Alto, California. The company has more than two thousand people.
