Electric version of Genesis G80 spotted during testsSeptember 25, 2020
Video from tests on the legendary Nürburgring track appeared on the Web
Premium Korean brand Genesis continues to work on an electric version of the G80 sedan. At this stage, the car is in the test phase. On the published video, you can evaluate the appearance of the novelty. The sedan was not covered with thick camouflage, but only “dressed up” in camouflage film. This step is quite natural, since the external differences from the gasoline version will turn out to be very small.
In particular, the radiator grille will be drowned out, and the exhaust pipes will not even be used as decoration. In the photographs, it was also possible to make out a frame made of pipes in the car’s interior – why at this stage such a structure is needed is rather difficult to understand.
Official details about the technical stuffing in Genesis are not shared, but one thing is for sure – the car will receive the most advanced technologies to compete with Tesla Model S and Mercedes-Benz EQS.
In particular, they expect to see a new level 3 autopilot on board, which Genesis is working very hard on.
The power reserve of Genesis G80 on one charge should not be less than 500 kilometers.
Meanwhile, spies managed to capture the interior of the Genesis GV70 compact crossover. We managed to see that the automatic transmission selector is a swivel washer, and black accents can be found in the sports car modification.
