Electric Porsche Macan spotted on testsOctober 19, 2020
Porsche has brought the electric Macan to the test. This is confirmed by spy photos published by the Motor1 agency.
Judging by the photo, the German manufacturer is testing its upcoming electric car on a closed track. In general, the novelty looks like a Cayenne Coupe, but it will be built on a completely new Premium Platform Electric (PPE) platform, which will be the basis for future premium models of the Volkswagen Group.
The front end is somewhat similar to the Taycan model, along with this electric Macan will receive a sloping roof and an adjustable spoiler. In addition, at the stern, you can notice the fake exhaust pipes.
Sales of the electric Macan are expected to begin in 2022. The production of new items will be set up at the Porsche plant in Leipzig. The German brand’s electric car is expected to debut next year.
Recall that the Porsche Macan is a compact crossover, built on the basis of the Audi Q5. Note that the presentation of this model took place on November 20, 2013 at the auto show in Los Angeles.
In addition, it was recently noted that China will be assembling electric vehicles based on the Porsche Taycan architecture. It should be emphasized that this became possible after the signing of an agreement between Audi and FAW, which promises to be mutually beneficial.
