Electric pickup Rivian R1T is shown in all its gloryJanuary 4, 2019
As part of a short video, the creators of the all-electric pickup truck Rivian R1T show their creation from all sides. Our opinion? This is just incredible. Serial production of an electric pickup starts in 2020.
We are sure that the American company Rivian will be able to bring its promising R1T model to the global automotive market, and according to rumors this should happen in the very near future. There is no doubt that the Rivian R1T will be the first in the world, a serial all-electric pickup.
For all, absolutely all global automakers, this is a pretty serious bar, which you can still try. There is no doubt that many will take years of research on this jumping.
The concept of the electric truck Rivian R1T was introduced last year. As conceived by the creators of the electric car, the pickup was primarily created for family needs and only then as a “workhorse”. Immediately after the Los Angeles Auto Show, where this concept was shown, many videos were shown showing R1T. For a while, there was no news from Rivian about a promising model.
And now, a couple of minutes ago, the press service of the brand finally published a video in which the R1T electric pickup was shown in all its glory. I note that the truck is equipped with a motor, the maximum torque of which is equal to 14,000 Nm. From 0 to 100 km / h, an electric car can accelerate in an impressive 3 seconds for this type of vehicle. Rivian R1T can tow a cargo whose weight is equal to 5 tons. Serial production of an electric pickup starts in 2020.
Not so long ago, we wrote that the American truck Rivian R1S will become the basis for Pininfarina’s crossover.
