Electric Jaguar XJ shown in the first imagesMay 1, 2020
A car that has already fallen into the lenses of camera spy cameras should debut soon.
British Jaguar will soon introduce an XJ model with an electric motor. In anticipation of the debut, Autoexpress designers presented renders of a high-profile novelty. Images were made based on photos from test tests of the machine. The premiere of the new items should take place closer to the end of 2020. The main competitor for the Jaguar XJ will be the Mercedes S-Class EQS. The novelty will receive significant differences from the first electric car of the brand – the Jaguar I-Pace crossover.
From spy photos it is clear that the sedan will receive a long hood. If we talk about appearance in general, the car turned out to be more evolutionary. The radiator grill received a brand performance for the brand. The bright appearance of the front of the car is complemented by narrow headlights.
In the rear, the novelty should receive headlights in the style of the XF model – in this case the lights will get a sharp pattern and will be connected by a strip in a monoblock.
The basis for the new XJ will be the MLA platform – this platform allows the use of fully electric motors, as well as hybrid and plug-in hybrid power plants. Car production will be launched at the JLR Castle Bromwich factory in the UK. Such a move is also strategic for the brand as a whole, since its production will save jobs for company employees.
