Electric Jaguar I-Pace has big plans for IndiaOctober 18, 2020
This country is now very active in the electrification of its vehicle fleet. So the electrocross could reach India as early as next year.
The Jaguar I-Pace electric crossover will appear in India in the first quarter of 2021. This move by the automaker is dictated by the fact that India has begun to actively promote environmentally friendly cars among its population.
The international news agency Reuters writes about this with reference to the head of the local division of JLR Rohit Suri. He also added that the company is looking to bring various hybrid versions of its models to the Indian market in the coming months, including the Land Rover Defender PHEV.
In general, JLR India is cautiously optimistic about the debut of the announced autos.
Recall that last summer, the electric Jaguar I-Pace was noticeably updated in terms of the interior.
The exterior of the British has undergone more modest cosmetic improvements.
Earlier it became known that the Indian government is going to stimulate manufacturers of batteries for electric cars. More than $ 4 billion will be allocated for these purposes. The goal is to reduce the cost of importing batteries by 2030.
