Electric hypercar Pininfarina Battista shown on the teaserJanuary 2, 2019
The company is preparing to debut a new electric model, and we will see the most powerful car in Italy in a couple of months at the Geneva Motor Show.
The era of electrification is coming, which also affects the fastest segment – hypercars. A new model Pininfarina Battista is preparing for the debut, which was shown on the official teaser. Earlier we saw in the photos the back of the future news and a piece of the interior, and now we were shown the hood and the front part. The lack of a conventional front grille emphasizes the electrical character of the Battista, while the thin LED headlights mimic the thin strip of rear lights and give the electric hypercar a high-tech look.
In addition to disclosing some of the details of the design, Automobili Pininfarina was so kind that it declassified some of the technical details. So, in March we will be shown a car capable of developing up to 1,900 horsepower and 2,300 Nm of torque. This will allow the car to accelerate to 402 km / h, with a power reserve of 483 km. Acceleration to 100 km/h will take less than 2 seconds. Specs tell us that it can compete with the second-generation Tesla roadster and Rimac C_Two.
After the debut at the Geneva Motor Show, the first copies will be delivered to the owners only in 2020. The circulation of cars will be limited to only 150 copies. The cost of each car starts from 2 500 000 dollars.
