He gave the answer to the question of many fans of the American automaker in an interview in the framework of the business show “Squawk on the Street” on CNBC. According to him, both new items should be expected within 24 months – or by the middle of 2022. Recall that earlier in Ford it was already stated that the Ford Transit electric van will be presented as a model year 2022 car, however, there was no specificity regarding the launch of the “battery” novelty.
Ford plans for the release of two electric cars should please concern General Motors. The manufacturer is going to bring to light an electric pickup from the revived brand Hummer. This will happen at the end of 2021, which is ahead of the planned debut of Ford electric models.
Another competitor for Ford in the niche of environmentally friendly cars is the young company Rivian. Already at the end of this year, she is going to organize the supply of her Rivian R1T electric pickup truck. The novelty, by the way, is already available for pre-order: the reservation will cost a thousand dollars.
Tesla is also trying to keep up with its competitors. The brand promises to deliver the first copies of its Tesla Cybertruck electric pickup to customers late next year. At the same time, EV Badger outlined the deliveries of his pickup truck to Nicola startup.
Meanwhile, the Ford Mustang Mach-E electric car got a juicy orange hue. The second color available for the novelty is more modest.
