Electric Fiat 500 EV will receive a new modificationOctober 2, 2020
The main feature of this version will be an additional door for the passenger, which opens against the direction of travel.
The new electric car Fiat 500 EV was presented in June 2020. Now in the European car market, the car is available in two different body types – a three-door hatchback and a convertible with two doors. However, in October, a new version will enter the market, which will receive an additional door for the second row passenger.
At the same time, its feature will be opening against the direction of travel. According to preliminary data, this variation will be called Trepiuno. Despite the originality of this performance, several manufacturers have already tried it – in particular, we know the Mazda RX-8 and Fiat Strada.
However, this design also has obvious disadvantages – the car gains weight. The Fiat 500 EV will be 30 kg heavier, which is quite a lot for such a compact car. The extra weight has an impact on the range. Also, an additional door will negatively affect the rigidity of the body.
As the engine, the Fiat 500 EV uses an electric motor with 120 hp, which is powered by a 42 kilowatt-hour battery.
The power reserve without recharging is about 320 kilometers. Fiat dealers in Italy ask for 34.9 thousand euros for the starting equipment
Fiat has previously unveiled a very unusual version of the Ducato van. This is a vehicle designed for travel, and its main feature is its modular design. Even the bathroom and the kitchen are removable.
