The online presentation of the ID.4 at Volkswagen is scheduled for 23 September.
Shortly after this event, the electric car will be available for booking. At the same time, those wishing to place a pre-order will have to make a symbolic prepayment of $ 100. Once production starts, booking owners will have to deposit an additional $ 400. The Volkswagen ID.4 engine range for the USA is still kept secret. Most likely, at the start of sales, the brand will offer the Americans a rear-wheel drive electric car with a 201-horsepower electric motor. An all-wheel drive car with a more powerful 302 hp engine. should come out later.
The capacity of the top battery should be enough for a run of 500 kilometers. Recall that the debut markets for the ID.4 electric car will be Europe and China.
The preliminary production of battery-powered SUVs is already underway at enterprises in the German Zwickau and Chinese Antiga. In the USA, the novelty will be registered at the plant in Tennessee. True, this will happen in 2022.
