Electric crossover Nissan Ariya will present in the summer of 2020June 3, 2020
The Japanese company has taken a serious course towards the electrification of its cars. Nissan Ariya will be one of the first.
Representatives of the Japanese company Nissan recently shared some information on the new Ariya cross. The official debut of the new items will take place this summer. Moreover, according to the brand’s CEO Makoto Utida, this is about June.
Recently Nissan talked about a plan to overcome the crisis – one of the most important points is the development of electric cars – if it is possible to produce such cars in the mass segment earlier than competitors, this will be a serious help for the Japanese company.
At the moment, by the end of 2022, two fully electric cars and two equipped with an e-Power system are planned in the model range of the brand. The presentation of the new concept car took place at the Tokyo Motor Show in 2019 – the new product is built on the CMF-EV platform, for which Nissan is responsible for the Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi alliance.
One of the features of this “trolley” is the installation of an electric motor on each axis, so the new cross should get an all-wheel drive version.
From the technical characteristics at the moment, only an approximate range is known – it will be about 450 kilometers without recharging on the WLTP cycle.
Previously, Nissan showed off its new Magnite crossover. A compact car will be one of the most budget in the model range of the brand.
