New Jaguar I-Pace is the first electric car of the British firm. This week, it was officially presented to the world at the Auto Show in Los Angeles.

Now Jaguar is working closely on their access to new markets. Just last year he showed his first SUV F-Pace, created with the aim of becoming the best selling model of the company. And now it’s time for another model – the electric car.

Taking the form of a small crossover, the new Jaguar I-Pace will go on sale in 2018. Its cruising range per charge is 500 km, I-Pace exceeds the range of the world’s only other all-electric Tesla Model X, which can travel up to 490 km. electric cars, such as hatchbacks Nissan Leaf and Renault Zoe, meanwhile, have a range of 250 km and 400 km respectively.

I-Pace has two motors, one of which is located in front of the car and the other on the rear panel. They produce a combined output of 395 hp, which allows it to accelerate from the start to 100 km/h in 4 seconds – slower than the top model X P90D, but much faster than most conventional cars.

Jaguar representatives claim that I-Pace can be recharged in just over two hours from the standard charging points, or up to 80% capacity in 90 minutes.

Can be seen a bright futuristic design of the machine. Inside, it is equipped with 12-inch customizable instrument cluster virtual driver, 12-inch central touchscreen for infotainment and navigation systems, also another 5.5-inch climate settings.

With a space measuring 530 liters, I-Pace has much more space than models such as the Nissan Qashqai and Ateca. The final design of I-Pace will be revealed closer to the next year, but we expect that it will not be much different from what we see in the photo. We can also see that the concept, reflected in the photograph, is very similar to the previous model F-Pace and F-Type.

Cars I-Pace and Model X are not the only models belonging to the long growing market. Audi is also planning production of its all-electric SUV Q6 E-Tron.
