Electric cars Audi E-Tron and E-Tron Sportback have been updatedNovember 25, 2020
Audi has updated the E-Tron and E-Tron Sportback electric vehicles.
One of the main innovations was the introduction of a second 22 kW on-board charger. It is already available as an option for the 55 models and will launch in mid-2021 for the 50 and S versions. The new device has a 5-inch touchscreen and wall mount and can also be used remotely using the myAudi app. According to Audi, the charger can charge the E-Tron 55 and E-Tron 55 Sportback in less than 5 hours.
In addition, the charging system offers additional functions, for example, it is able to meet the needs of the household in order to avoid overloading the system. The charger is, in particular, protected by a PIN code against unauthorized use. The updated models also get a new steering wheel with an emphasis on the sensor rim for adaptive cruise control. Drivers will only have to touch it once a minute to make sure the system remains active. The system uses real-time data to keep the vehicle in the center of its lane and helps the driver accelerate, brake, maintain speed and maintain distance from the vehicle in front.
The German manufacturer has also expanded the range of 20- and 21-inch wheels with a 5-spoke 22-inch version with 265/40 tires. It should be said that taking orders for the restyled E-Tron and E-Tron Sportback has already started, with the first deliveries beginning before the end of this year.
In addition, it was recently noted that the most atmospheric luxury coupe from Audi will be auctioned off. It should be emphasized that this car is not at all similar to those models of the German automobile concern Audi, which we know.
