The classic frame Land Rover Defender was turned into an electric car, the project was developed by the British company Twisted.
The electric SUV has acquired the name Twisted NAS-E. As the company informs, the car was developed according to the certification requirements of the USA and Canada. The project is based on the short-wheelbase Defender 90.
When converting the model, the internal combustion engine and gearbox were dismantled, and it was also equipped with a 214-horsepower Remy Borg-Warner electric motor. The motor is powered by a 60 kW / h battery, which allows you to drive up to 320 km on a single charge. At the same time, the NAS-E Plus version is available, which has a 320-horsepower engine.
Twisted specialists carried out a complete troubleshooting and restoration during the car alteration. The body is repainted in original enamel colors. In addition, the car was equipped with adjustable shock absorbers with a solenoid valve, more efficient brake calipers and pads, a new transfer case with a lower and higher row. As for the interior changes, there are new leather seats, an infotainment complex, air conditioning and much more.
