Electric Bugatti Divo filmed on the move in GenevaMarch 21, 2019
Earlier, rumors about the possible appearance of an electric supercar in the premium brand line appeared on the Web. So far, the serial version is not in question, but a prototype was shown within Geneva, which we managed to photograph during the movement.
The Geneva automobile elephant is already over, and manufacturers are dismantling their stands. Nevertheless, interesting news still comes from it. Note that the Bugatti company brought several prototypes with fully electric units to the exhibition, and now eyewitnesses published them while driving, and it is strange to see a hypercar moving without a single exhaust sound of the powerful 8.0-liter W16 engine.
No details are given. And it is not at all clear whether a full-fledged unit is used on the model, or sham engines with low power to demonstrate intentions. Although the designers decided not to cut the combined “four-barreled” exhaust.
It is assumed that the future electric car will be built on the basis of an electric unit from Porsche Taycan. However, the serial system will be significantly modified to achieve incredible power values as well as efficiency.
Meanwhile, Bugatti will create a limited series of children’s electric cars for 30,000 euros. In total, 500 copies of cars created in the image of the existing children’s car will be produced. The model was built by Ettore Bugatti for his own son in 1926.
