It is reported that a fully electric BMW i4 EV will be much like the 4-Series Gran Coupe.

It has already been said that the BMW i Vision Dynamics concept will definitely get a serial performance. In fact, the model will become an electric “brother” of the 4-Series Gran Coupe and will be released at the company’s factory in Munich (Germany).

The production version of the electric concept, which will be called i4, will be shown in 2021.

As part of a recent interview, CEO Harald Kruger said that the i4 model will definitely be put into production right after the start of production of the iX3 and iNEXT electric crossovers.

“We already have both hybrid and all-electric models, and we are not going to dwell on this,” – Kruger explained. “In 2019, we will introduce the subcompact Mini Electric. In 2020, the BMW iX3 will appear. Then in 2021 a BMW iNEXT crossover and a large i4 coupe will be shown. Thus, by 2021 there will be 5 electric cars in our model range. This underlines our strong interest in electric cars. ”

The new BMW i4 will be built on the CLAR platform. The main competitors of the novelty will be the American Tesla Model 3 and Model S in terms of autonomous power reserve. According to representatives of BMW, i4 will be able to travel a distance of 600 km on a single charge.
