Electric Audi Q4 E-Tron prototype spotted in SwedenNovember 18, 2020
The prototype of the German Audi Q4 E-Tron is again in front of journalists’ cameras. The electric crossover, which will go on sale in 2021, has this time been spotted on public roads in Sweden.
The exterior of the camouflaged Q4 E-Tron prototype is very similar to the original electric crossover concept. The front end has smaller air intakes in the corners than those of the show car, but the lower opening in the front bumper is larger. The headlights in the upper corners are serrated.
The steeply angled windshield leads to a gently flowing roofline.
The domed version of the crossover, which will receive the Sportback designation, will have a sleeker body shape. Camouflage hides parts of the novelty’s profile.
The rear window of the seen car is beveled, and under it are thin lights. In the concept, Audi uses contrasting colors and textures for the lower bumper to keep the area from being too boring from a design standpoint.
Other spy shots show the interior of the Q4 E-Tron. The driver looks at the digital instrument cluster, and next to it is a fairly large rectangular screen for the infotainment system. The rest of the interior is still camouflaged.
The Q4 E-Tron is built on the MEB modular platform, which has been specifically designed for electric vehicles. Data on the engine that will be under the hood of the novelty is still a mystery, but the concept of an electric crossover could boast 301 hp and 82 kWh batteries.
The debut date for the Q4 E-Tron is not yet known. It is possible that the car will be shown before the end of the year. The Q4 E-Tron Sportback is likely to arrive a little later.
Not so long ago, our publication wrote that the Audi SQ2 crossover has undergone restyling. Audi has presented an updated version of the SQ2 crossover.
