A new special version is called an alternative to the future GT R Black Series.
The German tuning studio presented its latest project – a special version of the sports coupe Mercedes-AMG GT R with an additional charge of four-liter V8 engine power.
As you know, the model Mercedes-AMG GT R is the most powerful in the AMG GT lineup at the moment. It under the hood is 4.0-liter turbocharged engine V8 with a capacity of 577 horsepower and 700 Nm of torque.
Representatives of the company Edo Competition do not report what works were carried out with the engine coupe. However, after completion, he began to issue 651 horsepower and 780 Nm. As stated in the studio, after that the maximum speed of the car increased to 340 km/h compared to 318 km/h from the factory version of the AMG GT R. Dynamic overclocking rates are not given by specialists.
Also in the Edo Competition changed the suspension. It was lowered in relation to the ground by 22 mm from the front and 20 mm from the rear. This improved the handling of the sports car at speed.
The company says that their special version Mercedes-AMG GT R can be an alternative version of the Black Series. The head of the sports division of Mercedes-AMG Tobias Morse last year confirmed that they are working on the version of the Mercedes-AMG GT R Black Series for the racing track.
The company Edo Competition is known in Germany for the refinement of sports cars and supercars of many European brands. So the studio previously represented a special version of the Porsche 911 GT3 RS with a carbon aerodynamic body kit.
