Judging by the published road map of the Volkswagen Groupe concern, 2019 will be the year of renewal of the concern. The plans of all brands to release about 90 new or updated cars by the end of this year. And about 9 loud debuts and 4 all-electric cars are expected.
One of the most important updates for the European market will be the new generation Volkswagen Golf, the appearance of the new T-Cross crossover, and the start of sales of the Skoda Scala, Kamiq, Seat Tarraco and the new Porsche 911. Another company announced the release of the Audi Q3 Sportback, Porsche Cayenne Coupé and Bentley Flying Spur, and so far an unnamed B-class crossover.
Two electric cars will be no less expected: the Audi e-tron crossover and the Porsche Taycan sports car. Two more electric models will be released exclusively in the Chinese market – Volkswagen Bora and Lavida.
From this we see that the company seriously undertook rejuvenation in an attempt to return the position after the diesel scandal. There is also a clear desire to fully electrify the entire concern, which will be held over the next decade.
Volkswagen Group also intends to create 70 electric cars for 10 years. Over the decade, sales of electrified vehicles of this manufacturer should reach 22 million cars.
