Due to a defect in airbags, 116 thousand Hyundai models came under reviewNovember 4, 2019
Faulty Hyundai airbags triggered a massive recall campaign that affected more than 116,000 cars, including the i30 and Palisade.
According to the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Japan, Hyundai has produced and sold 116,490 cars that have defective safety airbags.
It turned out that on 78 729 i30 models, which were released from January 2007 to September 2011, the pillows were deployed even in cases where they should not have worked. Registration for free repairs at the Hyundai and Blue Hands service center started on November 1 of this year.
The Japanese brand also confirmed that the 34,861 Palisade, which were manufactured from November last to August this year, curtain airbags can interfere with the mounting bolts, which causes a full deployment. Free Palisade repairs are also carried out at Hyundai and Blue Hands service centers from the first day of the current month.
In 2903 Sonata Hybrid copies, produced from July to October this year, a warning lamp was triggered due to interference between the control wiring and the heating hose, which could lead to the power unit shutting down. The model could be handed over for repair from October 24.
