The round table at Milan Design Week enabled the Ducati brand to present the modeling process that led to the birth of the new Diavel 1260, and share its passion for beauty and design innovation with other protagonists.

Motorcycle design and personality have always been a core value of Ducati, which clearly demonstrates the company’s participation in Milan Design Week. The powerful, muscular Diavel 1260 symbolizes a bold, visionary process, hence the event of the Bologna motorcycle manufacturer “Beautiful Courage / Dreamy Design”.

The scene for this attractive meeting was the new restaurant and permanent exhibition hall The Manzoni, founded by renowned British designer Tom Dixon, who decided to open his new “casa Milanese” [Milan house] – a place to admire his creations in the dynamic setting of the restaurant – during the Week design.

 During the event, the participants were the Director of Design Center Ducati Andrea Ferraresi, the head of the design center Automobili Lamborghini Mitya Borket, Director of Research and Development Pirelli Piero Mizani, Director Zaha Hadid Design – Woody Yao and Maha Kutay, as well as the founder of WDS Concept Design and former The chief designer of the VW Group, Walter De Silva, and the owner of The Manzoni, Tom Dickson, discussed industrial design, creativity, and architecture. Each of the participants of the round table shared his creative approach with an audience of journalists, guests and VIPs. During the discussion, important concepts emerged, and participants emphasized that to achieve a balance in design, it is important to find the right compromise between the aesthetic aspect and the goal.

Especially on this occasion, Ducati presented the exclusive concept motorcycle Diavel 1260 S Materico, which will be on display at Manzoni throughout Milan Design Week, and then go to the first worldwide exhibition of artists and motorcycle designers “MOARD”, which will be held in Milan from 3 to 5 May in the Palazzo del Giaccio.
