DS 4 receives a special introductory version. DS 4 La Premiere is the initial release and will hit DS dealerships in the fourth quarter of this year.
In early February, DS introduced a completely new model, the DS 4. It was immediately joined by the Cross version. In the fourth quarter of this year, the DS 4 will be available to dealers in a special introductory edition called La Premiere, available in Gloss Gray and Crystal Pearl with a black roof. The radiator grille and the connecting piece between the grille and the headlights are also black. The special version has 19-inch alloy wheels, which are also black. There is a special ‘1’ badge on the bonnet, indicating that this is the La Premiere version.
As befits the introductory version, the DS 4 La Première is quite luxurious. Door panels, seats, center armrest and tunnel in Criollo Brown nappa leather. The front seats, which DS calls the “watchband structure”, are electrically adjustable and not only heated and ventilated, but also come with a massage function. The steering wheel is also covered in brown leather, the dashboard and door cards are additionally finished in brown ash.
DS 4 La Première comes standard with a 21-inch head-up display. A 10-inch infotainment system called the Iris System is also standard. The Active Scan suspension familiar from the DS 7 Crossback is also part of the La Première performance. The same applies to the electrically operated tailgate.
DS also did a good job on the security system. Matrix LED headlights are standard, the same applies to Drive Assist, which allows the DS 4 to operate semi-autonomously (level 2). In addition, a 360-degree camera is included.
The starting price for DS 4 La Première has not yet been set. This will happen in anticipation of the model’s release to the European market in the fourth quarter of this year. What is really known is that La Première comes exclusively with the E-Tense 225, a 225 hp plug-in hybrid powertrain with which the DS 4 should be able to achieve an electric range of 50 kilometers.
