Drag racing: tuned BMW M5 vs. Nissan GT-R and Ducati superbikeOctober 2, 2020
A video appeared on the Internet showing a race in a straight line, in which a tuned BMW M5 sedan (800 hp), a Nissan GT-R supercar (1600 hp) and a Ducati superbike (221 hp) are participating.
Typically in any race between a sports car and a motorcycle, the first one wins. However, if the French superbike Ducati Panigale V4R takes part in the race, things can take an unexpected turn. It is he who participates in today’s drag racing along with the powerful BMW M5 Competition sedan and the Japanese sports car Nissan GT-R.
A video appeared on the Carwow Youtube channel, which captured this confrontation.
The BMW M5 Competition has been upgraded by tuning company Evolve, which has increased the power of the sports sedan to 800 horsepower (950 Nm). The Nissan GT-R also has a number of significant modifications that allow it to boast 1600 hp. (1500 Nm). During the race, this car had a problem with the transmission – it is clear what the gearbox should be in order to withstand such a monstrous torque.
Compared to these two cars, the Ducati Panigale V4R has a “small” output of 221 hp. (112 Nm), but it’s worth considering that this superbike is much lighter than the aforementioned cars. Its weight is 193 kilograms. For comparison, the Bavarian M5 sedan weighs 1950 kg, while the GT-R weighs 1800 kg.
Not so long ago, AutoTimesNews wrote about the race between the “charged” crossover BMW X6 M and the sports coupe Jaguar F-Type R. Enthusiasts from the foreign YouTube channel decided to find out whether the high-performance crossover BMW X6 M can overtake the sports coupe Jaguar F-Type R Both cars are equipped with approximately the same power plants.
