Drag racing: Porsche 911 Carrera S vs. tuned BMW X3 CompetitionOctober 26, 2020
The team from the YouTube channel decided to find out if the tuned version of the already powerful BMW X3 M Competition crossover can overtake the 992 generation Porsche 911 Carrera S sports coupe.
Can the modified BMW X3 M Competition keep up with the new 992 Gen 911 Carrera S sports car in a straight line? The guys from the Track Day YouTune channel tried to answer this very question.
The 992 generation Porsche 911 is one of the most impressive modern sports cars ever built. The car has excellent driving dynamics.
Under the hood of today’s race is a 3.0-liter flat-six twin turbocharged engine that develops 443 horsepower. The Carrera S can accelerate from 0 to 100 km / h in 3.0 seconds, but only when it is equipped with a PDK dual-clutch robotic transmission.
The competitor to the car from Porsche is the high-performance Bavarian crossover BMW X3 M Competition. It is powered by the new S58 inline 6-cylinder engine, which will also be used in the new BMW M3 sedan. Everything becomes even more exciting when you see how easy it is to set up the new S58, as this X3 M Competition features an upgraded ECM software from BM3 that allows the X3 M Competition to use E30 fuel. Using a fuel with a higher ethanol content such as E30 provides more power. Now, this X3 M Competition can put out about 600 horsepower to the wheels.
Not so long ago, AutoTimesNews wrote that the BMW M4 Competition received a special limited version. BMW and clothing brand Kith have unveiled a special limited edition version of the 2021 M4 Competition. The novelty will be available to order.
