Drag race: Audi RS6 vs. Lamborghini Urus on a wet trackJanuary 16, 2021
“Charged” models with V8 4.0 faced off on a straight line
The bloggers of the YouTube channel carwow staged a duel between the new Audi RS6 and the Lamborghini Urus. A series of races took place on a wet track – first, the super-universal and the crossover fought in drag at 402 meters, then there were two parallel races on the move, and the final point was set by the brake efficiency test.
The Audi RS6 Avant is a station wagon with a petrol 4.0-liter V8 twin-turbocharged, mild hybrid superstructure, 8-speed automatic and all-wheel drive. Peak output RS6 – 600 horsepower and 800 Nm, weight – 2075 kilograms. In the UK, the model costs from 94.5 thousand pounds.
Lamborghini Urus is equipped with the same “biturbo-eight” 4.0 as the Audi RS6, but the unit is boosted to 650 horsepower and 850 Nm, and there is no hybrid “makeweight”. The crossover of the Italian brand weighs 2199 kilograms. UK price starts at £ 160,000
In the race from a standstill on a slippery surface, four-wheel drive five-doors showed very close results: the winner was determined by the photo finish. However, in a drag race on a dry track from Archie Hamilton Racing, the results were unambiguous.
