Drag Pak available for Dodge ChallengerSeptember 3, 2020
Only 50 copies of the American Dodge Challenger coupe will be made in the powerful performance of the Drag Pak. This version of the car is designed for racing in a straight line – drag racing. The car, which is positioned by the automaker as the highest-performing version of the Dodge Challenger, is already available for order.
About 10 months ago, Dodge introduced the Challenger Drag Pak as the fastest and most powerful performance car to date. The debut took place at the SEMA 2019 tuning exhibition, and the start of sales of this version of the legendary was supposed to start in a few months. However, due to supply disruptions caused by the coronavirus pandemic, the start of sales was delayed.
Now, in the early days of September, Dodge is proud to announce the actual launch of the Dodge Challenger Drag Pak vehicle on the market. Customers can now contact the company to order a sample of the drag-racing-focused vehicle, according to the manufacturer. From 9 September, orders will be accepted on a first come, first served basis.
“Our new Dodge Challenger Mopar Drag Pak is made especially for drag racing enthusiasts,” comments Mark Bossanak, Head of Service, Parts and Customer Service, Mopar.
“Under the hood is a powerful supercharged HEMI V8 engine. With advanced suspension and chassis technologies and a completely new NHRA-certified roll cage, we can’t wait to give our dedicated performance enthusiasts another custom-built muscle car. ”
Dodge has already announced that it will produce just 50 examples of this car, which is essentially a race car created by Mopar specifically for drag racing. The manufacturer’s MSRP is $ 143,485 and production is slated to begin “in the first quarter of 2021”. We expect that those who place an order now will receive the car no later than March-April next year.
“This is the fastest, most powerful Dodge Challenger we’ve ever made,” adds Tim Kuniskis, Head of Passenger Cars for Dodge, SRT, Chrysler and Fiat.
