On paper, the Challenger SRT Hellcat has a clear advantage in the race. Its 6.2-liter supercharged V8 engine develops 707 horsepower and 881 Nm of torque. A six-speed manual gearbox is used as the transmission for this instance of the American muscle car.

For comparison, the Bavarian BMW M5 Competition sedan boasts 617 hp. (750 Nm). The only gearbox option for this car is an eight-speed automatic. The main advantage of the sedan here is its sophisticated all-wheel drive system, which can send all the power to all wheels, and only to the rear – if the driver activates a special mode.

In the first race, BMW defeats its rival by a pretty good margin, but there is a reason for this.

With all-wheel drive and launch control, the driver, in fact, only needs to crush the gas and hang up. Challenger Hellcat with a manual transmission of such capabilities. The Dodge driver should ideally perform a bunch of acceleration and clutch pedals to get a good start.

In rear-wheel drive mode, BMW begins the second race. Watch the video to the end to see if this is enough to win a second time.
