Donkervoort presented a track modelOctober 27, 2020
Donkervoort has shown a track version of the D8 GTO-JD70, which was unveiled in June this year.
The track version, dubbed the D8 GTO-JD70 R, is faster, more aggressive and safer than the road-going model, the manufacturer notes.
Speaking of the dynamic performance of the novelty, it can accelerate to 100 km / h in 2.7 seconds and accelerate to a maximum of 280 km / h. Such performance of the track model is provided by the 2.5-liter TSFI turbo engine from Audi with a capacity of 415 hp. The motor works in conjunction with a 6-speed sequential transmission and a rear-wheel drive system. In turn, the car weighs only 725 kg.
The D8 GTO-JD70 R differs from the standard model in the presence of an upgraded chassis and suspension designed for the track. Donkervoort notes that they worked especially carefully on the safety, braking system and steering of the track car.
As for the cost of a track car, it is quite high – 198 thousand euros. In turn, the circulation of the novelty will be only 70 copies, which, in particular, is indicated by the inscription on the back of the chair.
In addition, the KTM X-Bow GTX track car was unveiled recently. It should be emphasized that the Austrian company KTM asks for its novelty, which is intended for the track, 230,000 euros
