Dongfeng tests the updated AX4 with a super efficient turbo engineDecember 25, 2018
Compact cross went on sale in the 2017th, but a year later, the manufacturer decided to restyling. The exterior of the model, with the exception of minor modifications, remained the same. But the interior and the motor range of cars have endured changes.
In China, we started the tests of the restyled Dongfeng AX4. “Pre-reform” compact cross made his debut in November last year. Then motorists got access to a SUV with a 124-horsepower 1.6-liter gasoline engine and a turbo engine with a 1.4-liter working volume and 140 hp output. In a couple of them offered a six-speed manual transmission or a robotized gearbox. After restyling, the cross got a super-efficient turbo engine – a 125-hp liter DFMC10TD. Thus, the Dongfeng AX4 mixed flow on the manual transmission is about 4.7 liters per 100 km of run.
According to Chinese media, the externally updated cross practically does not differ from its current version. What can not be said about the cabin – now there is an enhanced center console and a new climate control unit.
Recall that next year the model will get to our country. The novelty will make a worthy competition to the Korean compact cross Hyundai Creta. It is known that the Russians will get Dongfeng AX4 with an atmospheric engine under the hood. Over time, the version with turbo engine will be available for purchase.
