Dongfeng Presents PSA Cross Station WagonMay 5, 2020
The compact modular “truck” CMP (Common Modular Platform) of the PSA concern was first shown a year and a half ago, the first model based on it was the DS 3 Crossback SUV.
However, access to this platform quickly became available to Dongfeng, which owns a 13.68% stake in PSA Group. In the summer of 2019, a sedan with the unpronounceable name Dongfeng Aeolus Yixuan was shown in the Middle Kingdom, and now it has been joined by the cross-wagon Dongfeng Aeolus Yixuan GS.
The dimensions of the machine are as follows: length – 4610 mm, width – 1830 mm, height – 1600 mm. And the wheelbase is 2680 mm. There will be no standard station wagon in the Yixuan family; four-wheel drive will not be delivered either. The front of the body is unified with a sedan, the wheels will be 17-inch, and all the lighting is diode.
The interior is very similar to a sedan – with a seven-inch screen for hand-drawn devices, a ten-inch touchscreen display of the media system and an absolutely touch-screen climate control unit. Although instead of the transmission control washer, a standard selector is equipped. Of the options we will have access to all-round cameras, electric front seats, a panoramic roof.
The technical part of Dongfeng will be the same – it is a three-cylinder liter turbo engine (125 hp) or a turbo four volume of 1.5 liters (150 hp). Both units work in tandem with Getrag, a six-speed preselective “robot”, and the simplest cross-station wagon with a liter engine is equipped with manual transmission.
Dongfeng Aeolus Yixuan GS will appear on the Chinese market in June. The named price range is from 11,700 to 14,400 dollars.
