Dodge refreshes police variants of Dodge Durango and Charger PursuitJuly 28, 2020
Dodge, which has managed to update the 2021 Durango family, has decided to continue the model upgrade and modernized its vehicles for the police.
An image of the “cops” Dodge Durango and Charger Pursuit 2021 has appeared on the web. The picture is shared by Dodge Law. The portal has omitted the details of the announced new products.
Probably, the “police” Dodge will be declassified already in the official press release from the automaker. But the estimated date of the stratum of orders for new items is called September 2020.
Mopar Insider has made its prediction. So, it is assumed that Dodge Durango Pursuit 2021 will get a new package, which implies the installation of a Hemi V8 engine with a working volume of 5.7 liters, as well as a top speed that has grown to 233 km / h.
The new rear-wheel-drive sedan Dodge Charger Pursuit, as before, will come with a 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 powerplant. A 5.7-liter V8 and an all-wheel drive system are optionally available. Recall that the police version differed from the civilian version of the Charger, for example, with reinforced brakes, ballistic protection in the doors, steel plates in the backs of the seats, etc.
In general, with the advent of the updated Durango and Charger Pursuit, Dodge will strengthen its influence in the segment of cars for law enforcement. The same Charger Pursuit is called the most demanded sedan for the police today.
Earlier, our portal said that Ford employees refuse to produce police cars. The activists even wrote a letter to the management of the plant demanding that they stop cooperating with law enforcement officers. The head of Ford, Jim Hackett, did not share the workers’ point of view: in his reply, he explained how valuable the company’s cooperation with the police is for ordinary Americans.
